Due to a very tight delivery schedule, Fountainpoint point arranged expedited shipping on all carts and bins. Also, the cart manufacturer altered production schedules to make sure Fountainpoint had the unassembled carts in adequate time to meet the retail customer’s schedule.
Fountainpoint assembled and delivered the necessary carts to the customers Distribution Center. Fountainpoint used the customers delivery schedule to ensure West Coast stores received their carts on the same day as East Coast stores.

In August of 2004, a large retailer contacted Fountainpoint Distribution, LLC with a need to develop a standardized kit of products used to maintain their female mannequins in stores across the county.   The retailer provided a list of the suggested fifteen products and potential suppliers for each product.   Fountainpoint worked with the retailer to find several products that were better suited for mannequins than those that the customer originally recommended.  For example, a hair spray product was replaced with a hair spray that was specifically designed for wigs.

Fountainpoint Distribution was able to provide sourcing, cost quotes and samples for all 15 items to the customer within one week.  After the products were successfully tested at one of the retail outlets, the retailer began ordering and shipping the mannequin maintenance kits to their stores all over the country.  Hundreds of kits have been delivered to the retailer to date and there have not been any quality problems or defects reported.  A recent order for 700 mannequin maintenance kits was delivered within 26 days of receipt of the purchase order.

A local client needed to have 3-inch Velcro strips included in presorted kits. Due to the quantity of the order, using a MRDD organization proved a very effective way to get quality product and excellent results.

During the spring of 2004, a retail customer of Fountainpoint Distribution, LLC was searching for a supplier to provide precut Velcro strips.  Due to some specific requirements, a standard retail purchase of Velcro was not the correct solution.

• Fountainpoint located a supplier that could provide 16 mated pieces of Velcro in a heat-sealed bag.
• The price was very cost effective and because the customer was able to give accurate projections of anticipated use, the cost was able to be brought down even further.
• Fifty bags were placed in every box so the Velcro could be easily replenished.
